A Letter from Co-Founder, Rita Katona on So Good So You’s Recent Women-Owned Certification

Lovely So Good Community,
I’m thrilled to share that So Good So You is now officially recognized as a women-owned business by the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC), a leading non-profit organization dedicated to helping women-owned businesses thrive.
It might be surprising to note that in 2021, women-owned and women-led organizations are still few and far between, especially in food and consumer packaged goods. Women make most of the purchase decisions in our economy, so this is a perplexing issue. So Good So You is in a very small group of businesses that “walk the walk” when supporting women (and diversity in general) in business.
I started So Good So You in 2014, and while I’d be remiss if I didn’t mention how grateful I am for the support of incredible male allies – especially my husband and co-founder Eric, other male leaders, mentors, and investors, I’m very proud that to this day, our company remains majority female-owned.
Our board is controlled by a majority of female directors, our senior leadership team (that runs the company) is 50% female, and our current total employee profile is 68% female (and 46% BIPOC).
This diversity has allowed us to innovate and thoughtfully grow to a national brand, always keeping our tagline “for the love of body & planet” at the heart of everything we do.
I want to thank you for your support along this journey, and I can’t wait to share the latest new products and announcements coming so soon!
Warmly,
Rita
