Job Title: Accounts Payable Specialist

Summary:  We are looking for a highly motivated, business curious, skilled accountant to provide financial, administrative, and clerical support primarily related to Accounts Payable in a fast paced, growing company.  Duties performed will include ensuring accuracy and efficiency of operations, processing and monitoring invoices, payments, and recording transactions.


  • Processing accounts payable and outgoing payments in compliance with our financial policies and procedures
  • Verify discrepancies noted by vendors and/or internal personnel and help resolve billing issues
  • Facilitate timely payment of invoices (by proactively looking for late arriving transactions as well as contacting vendors)
  • Assist in the preparation of in-house accounts payable reports for periodic review by management as well as other teams
  • Ensuring all transactions are properly authorized and applied in order to identify any improper items and then be able to resolve them with the vendor
  • Be a team player that is focused on details and efficiency; operates at a constant level of highly organized behavior


  • You possess a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Solid understanding of basic accounting principles
  • You excel in skills to calculate, post, and manage accounting figures
  • Proven ability to multi-task while maintaining focus; brings a sense of urgency to complete tasks quickly and accurately
  • You are a team player and build strong relationships within accounting/finance, other teams and external partners
  • You are business curious in order to improve processes and outcomes
  • You welcome the opportunity to take on varied and exciting new projects and also learn new skills.
  • Proven working experience in accounts payable and resolving vendor issues
  • Proven experience with ERP and G/L systems (QuickBooks Enterprise a plus)
  • High level of comfort and understanding utilizing Excel and other Microsoft Office applications, building and interpreting spreadsheets


  • Bachelors degree in Accounting required
  • 1+ years accounting experience
  • Strong experience in a fast pace, changing environment
  • Organized and operationally minded
  • Follows through and executes consistently
  • Savvy, business curious problem solver
