Operations Manager


The Operations Manager is responsible for managing, coordinating and executing weekly operations to ensure timely and accurate receiving, packing of finished goods, picking and shipments while communicating with external and internal stakeholders. 

This position is based on-site at our partners’ warehousing facility in Milwaukee, WI, not at So Good So You in Minneapolis.


Job Requirements

  • Supervise the daily functions and activities at our partner facility to insure direction is clear, timelines are met, inventory is accurate and weekly orders are shipped out on time and in full
  • Learn, analyze and audit WMS (Warehouse Management System) so system inventories match physical inventories
  • Supervise receiving of bulk goods to be packed and ensure they are received accurately
  • Manage the packing line and create/enforce systems and processes to ensure packing accuracy, counts and finished goods receipts
  • Learn and process orders in So Good’s Fishbowl inventory system
  • Supervise/manage the flow of goods and paperwork at a second Milwaukee location responsible for pasteurization and some packing
  • Troubleshoot problems or emergencies as they arise in a positive and collaborative manner
  • Routine inspection of completed cases and maintaining accurate inspection logs
  • Training partner staff on policies, processes & procedures. Educating about So Good’s products, setting clear expectations and managing their execution
  • Build rapport with key personnel at partner facilities
  • Be ready, willing and able to roll up your sleeves and help do whatever necessary to meet deadlines, including packing cases, picking or counting orders, answering calls off-hours or weekends, etc.
  • Bring a positive, can-do attitude every day
  • This position requires the associate to be trained for food safety, food quality and regulatory requirements in their work areas.

  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
  • Material handling equipment experience (Pallet jack, forklift, etc)
  • Strong time management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Must be able to work independently and stay on task as well as in a team environment.
  • Strong computer skills, familiarity with MS Office programs, email, etc. Familiarity with inventory management or warehouse management experience is a plus

Work Environment

  • Dock, cooler, and dry storage areas (exposure to cold)
  • On-site at partner facilities, highly mobile, may have limited space
  • Occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme conditions, hot and cold.

  • Active position requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing
  • May have to lift and move items 50 pounds and over
  • Vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus



  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

  • This is a full-time salary non-exempt position
  • Forty (40) hours per week, or as required for the department, weekends and holidays as required to execute department goals
  • Compliance with all company and regulatory policies/guidelines relating to associate safety, food safety and food quality


  • Monday through Friday 7:00 am-3:30 pm
