Logistics Coordinator

Summary: Responsible for over the road trucks that pick-up, secure, and deliver freight,  product and/or commodities for So Good Brand to designated destinations nation-wide.  

Essential Responsibilities: 

  • Creates and manages daily/weekly trucking schedules.
  • The coordinator will manage OTIF deliveries including, but not limited to:
    • trafficking orders to carrier partners
    • ensuring delivery appointments are made
    • tracking, recording, and monitor load movement
    • coordinating any special requirements, organizing rescues as needed
    • keeping all stakeholders up to date
  • Responsible for daily transport related queries and/or issues, including after hour support for haulers, plant, and customer issues.

Additional Duties: 

  • Works closely with Operations to ensure on-time departure and route guide compliance.
  • Performs other related duties and participates in special projects as assigned.

Required Competencies: 

The following are required competencies of the position that must be met by the employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job:

  • Strong math and analytical skills
  • Strong computer skills, familiarity with MS Office programs, email, etc.
  • Understanding of TMS programs and ability to navigate various portals/ program functionality
  • Familiarity with inventory management or warehouse management experience is a plus
  • Familiarity with refrigerated TL & LTL services is a plus

Education / Experience: 

  • High School Diploma/AA Degree Preferred
  • 2+ years transportation / logistics experience
  • Previous experience in Customer Service
  • Proven success in prior, similar role
  • Experience in refrigeration and/or LTL is a huge plus

Manufacturing Work is performed in a manufacturing plant. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk or hear; taste or smell. 

  • Employee may be exposed to cold temperatures and damp conditions when performing tasks.
  • The employee will frequently have to walk and stand. The employee should have the ability to regularly lift up to 55lbs.
  • The employee must be able to push and pull up to 75lbs.
  • Must be able to climb ladders and work at elevations above 4 feet.
  • The employee is occasionally exposed to wet walking surfaces.
