Introducing 12 Days of (So) Good
The holiday season is beautiful for many reasons, but it’s giving nature is an aspect we embrace head-on each year at So Good So You. We are constantly inspired by members of our community and team as they do what they can to give back to people and organizations they care about in light of the season.
2020 has been different than any year before, and for that reason, we’re trying something new as we ring in the new year. We decided to launch a program that would allow us to give back to the members of our community who give us so much 365 days of the year. The new initiative is titled “12 Days of (So) Good” and will run December 12th through December 24th. On each day of the campaign, we will be highlighting a notable community member and providing them with two 6-packs of shots to share with their own community. In addition, we will be donating $100 to twelve incredible charities and organizations chosen by these community members – one charity for each day leading up to Christmas. Keep reading to learn about each of the twelve community members and their charity of choice.
Holly Janiszewski (@hollyjfitness). You may have seen Holly on our blog in the past, as she’s a longtime supporter of So Good So You and has also served as one of our monthly Fitness Experts. Holly is a go-to gal on all things fitness, helping others transform their lives and tap into their passion to live a healthier life. Her business is centered around fitness, nutrition, motivation and serving others, offering customized goals and workout formats for each client. Holly’s charity of choice is the Animal Humane Society, an incredible organization that cares for over 23000 animals in need.
Vinny Amendola (@vinnyamendola). Vinny is the co-founder of ALTR Fitness, a high-intensity interval training studio located in the Twin Cities. Before ALTR, Vinny spent a decade with Core Power Yoga working his way up to Director of Operations. We featured Vinny as our Fitness Expert of the Month recently, and you can find an at-home workout in this blog post here. As part of the 12 Days of (So) Good, Vinny will be donating to the Wildlife Conservation Network.
Erica Sawyer (@callmeerie). A die-hard, loyal supporter of So Good So You, Erica is a flight attendant, blogger, and content queen out of Atlanta, GA. She has her own website where she shares her love for fashion, traveling, and our favorite topic, food. Erica will be designating her $100 donation to support the National Forest Foundation, an organization that brings people together to restore and enhance our National Forests and Grasslands.
Carla Aristy (@carlaaristy). Carla is a strength and wellness enthusiast, using her social platform to help others unleash their inner warrior. In addition, Carla is a self-proclaimed foodie and lover of all things health-related. She chose for her donation to go towards Feeding America, an organization that helps provide meals to families facing hunger this holiday.
Tiffany Faublas (@trinitiffy). A loyal supporter of So Good So You, Tiffany is passionate about food, fitness and is a self-proclaimed Carnivista where she celebrates her Jamaican culture. Tiffany has chosen to make her donation to Urban Growers Community Farm. A grassroots nonprofit organization, Urban Growers Community Farm is dedicated to improving the quality of life in low-income communities in West Palm Beach, Florida.
Dr. Jaclyn Shikowsky (@stokewellness). The founder of Stoke Wellness, Dr. Jaclyn Shikowsky, has a Doctor of Chiropractic degree from the University of Minnesota! She is passionate about both health and mindfulness in addition to fitness.
Kassi Mcguire (@hausofshopping). Based in Arizona, Kassi is a So Good So You community member passionate about fashion, Starbucks, and of course; wellness. Kassi has chosen the organization National Park Foundation. This organization is dedicated to furthering the conservation of natural, scenic, historic, scientific, educational, inspirational, and recreational resources for future generations of Americans.
Meghan Organ (@meggveggie). In addition to being a nursing student, Meg is a health and fitness guru and utilizes her Instagram to share vegan recipes, fitness guides, and much more.
Tristia Wilkerson (@_lifewithtriss). Full-time foodie and lover of all things So Good So You, Trista has been a part of our community since March.
Alleen Belle (@alleenla). Based in California, Alleen is a model, dancer, and artist in addition to a So Good So You community member. Alleen has chosen to donate her $100 to 350.org, an organization whose mission is to end the age of fossil fuels and build a world of community-led renewable energy for all.
Sarah Schaap (@miss_whisk). Sarah has been a member of the So Good So You community for many years, sharing delicious recipes and food inspiration along the way. In support of the 12 Days of (So) Good, Sarah has decided to make her donation to The Food Group. The Food Group is a Minnesota non-profit organization focused on using nutritious food to strengthen community.
Carly Lind (@queencarlyy) Carly, who is based in California, is an artist and dancer in addition to being a merchandiser for So Good So You! Carly has chosen to donate her $100 to the organization Earth Guardians, whose mission is to train diverse youth to be effective leaders in the environmental, climate and social justice movements.
