Introducing January ‘21 Fitness Experts from Alchemy

In light of the New Year, many of us will find ourselves reflecting on the last year and identifying areas of personal growth for 2021. Whether you’re focusing on your fitness regime, diet, or mental health, we believe starting the year off on the right foot sets you up for success the following 365 days. For us, that means embracing realistic, feasible habits that leave us feeling strong and healthy. We’ve learned that when we do this, we are able to better show up for our loved ones and are more inclined to take better care of the planet and people around us.

To kick things off, we’re partnering with Alchemy 365 throughout the month of January and will be showcasing their talented coaches across our social channels and blog. Alchemy 365 combines yoga, strength, and conditioning into one fitness class. Founded locally, and available online globally, our team loves Alchemy’s classes and their overall philosophy to Pursue Your Legend.

What do you do (at Alchemy and outside of Alchemy)?

I am a General Manager at Alchemy 365 Highland Park, Coach & “Yes You Can!” Hype Girl.

Outside of Alchemy I love to spend time with my family, travel, hang out with my friends, explore the outdoors, work on my podcast and cozy up by the lake or a fire. 

What is your passion?

My passion is helping people find their inner strength and confidence, we all have it inside of us and sometimes we just need someone to help us recognize that power within ourselves. Along with creating community and bringing people together, life is challenging and I am passionate about creating a space that helps us to feel less alone in this life and provide inspiration to others.

Tell us about a day-in-the-life?

I wake up around 5 or 6 am (or if I get to sleep in, my daughter Clara wakes me up around 6:30/7!). If I don’t have to coach an early Alchemy class, we have breakfast together. I love heading into the Highland Park Alchemy studio each morning and helping our members feel alive. Their workout is usually a highlight of the day, and it’s amazing to be part of. I will usually get a workout in mid morning or afternoon when I have the most energy, but some days, I am working out at 8pm. After work, I will head home, finish up any remaining to-dos, and will spend time with my husband Jordan, Clara and our dog Schmidt. After Clara goes down, I work on my passion projects, including my podcast “Creating Ripples” and building a community for mamas to connect. But some days, I just chill because self-care!

What’s your go-to pre- or post-workout snack or beverage?

My post-workout beverage is a 1st phorm Phormula 1 shake to make sure that I am recovering properly and getting my muscles what they need to do.

What’s your favorite SGSY shot?

What do you do (at Alchemy and outside of Alchemy)?

I am General Manager of Alchemy 365 Edina. When I’m not at Alchemy, you can find me coaching nutrition, playing rec football and softball, and eating all of the Chipotle I can get my hands on!

What is your passion?

My truest passion is helping others become the very best version of themselves – physically, mentally, and emotionally – through exposure to health and wellness. I am a firm believer that through exercise we can become the person we’ve always dreamt of being, and it’s my goal every single day to help others believe and achieve this.

Tell us about a day-in-the-life?

Most days, the alarm goes off between 5:00-5:15am. I start every morning reading from the Daily Stoic to help me get grounded, and then I dive into whatever the day has in store! Most days that means coaching classes, some days that means a few Zoom meetings, and every day that means trying to learn and develop myself in some way, shape or form. And of course, every evening ends with a makeshift “dessert” before bedtime at about 8:30pm!

What’s your go-to pre- or post-workout snack or beverage?

I’m a sucker for the classics. Give me a banana about 30 minutes before my workout, and I’m ready to go. And if I’m really feeling edgy, sign me up for a post-workout chocolate milk

What’s your favorite SGSY shot?
