Meet Our Fitness Expert of the Month: Holly J Fitness

You might recognize Holly’s face from an Instagram LIVE on our page last month where Holly taught a full-body workout in honor of National Fitness Weekend. You might also recognize her name from a blog post we shared in June, where she answered a series of rapid-fire questions allowing the community to get to know her a little bit more. A local Minnesotan, and longtime lover of So Good So You, we feel honored to call Holly a member of the So Good Society, as well as the inaugural fitness Expert of the Month.

Beginning this month, we will be featuring a fitness expert every month who will serve as a source of knowledge and point of contact regarding all things fitness. Naturally, we tapped Holly Janiszewski to serve as the first-ever expert of the month.

Holly encapsulates so much of what it means to be a So Good Society member, following her passion for fitness and nutrition, and working hard every day to serve and motivate others to be their best. She offers customizable training programs that utilize a multitude of workout formats and types of equipment. Holly’s ultimate goal is to help her clients “build strength and feel good physically, boost self-confidence and feel good mentally, create lasting habits, and have fun throughout the process”. With a mantra like that, you can’t help but want to learn more. 

Serving athletes at every age and level of experience, Holly has a wide array of certifications that make her a very versatile coach. Some of these certifications include NASM, PROnatal Certified (pre/postnatal performance training specialist), Corepower Yoga, TRX FTC Course, and a Life Time Academy Graduate.  After working 3 years behind a desk, Holly made the decision to seek out a career where work didn’t feel like such “work”.  


When/why/how did she choose this career path? 

I’ve always been around activities whether it was playing sports growing up or watching my mom run marathons and go to the gym. Being active and having exercise as a part of my life has always been important. Fitness and helping other people have always been two things I’m passionate about, and personal training seemed like the perfect combination of those two.


How many clients does she work with?

I work with majority women (but do have a few guy clients!), and my training includes 1-on-1, couples, small group bootcamps, and large group classes!


Does she have a “secret sauce” in terms of sticking to fitness routines to achieve a goal?

I try to make fitness enjoyable and not feel like a chore. When working with clients, I try to find the exercises or formats they like doing. Also, my training style is approachable. Yes I will push you, but I will not scream at you for taking a break or doing a modification. 😉


What’s her favorite meat-free meal?

Stuffed bell peppers! Or veggie curry.


Each week, Holly will share her favorite bodyweight workouts (be prepared to WORK, no gym needed), as well as fitness tips and tricks with the greater community via the So Good So You Instagram and Facebook. Her dedicated posts will offer advice for fitness enthusiasts of all kinds – from strength to running, to recovery, and more.
