Account Manager

Summary: So Good Brand is looking for a professional, reliable, enthusiastic Account Manager to join our growing company! In this role, you will serve as the face and voice of our company while building brand recognition and successfully promote our products. You will communicate and engage with our wholesale stores and customers, in meaningful ways to increase our company’s brand awareness and generate new sales opportunities. This person will work cross functionally between Sales, Operations, Marketing, and Finance teams to deliver results and exceed expectations created by the Sales team.

Location: Minneapolis, MN (potential for remote) 


Account Management (60%) 

  • Manage high profile retailers as the Account Manager 
  • Establish a culture of accountability through clear expectations and performance management
  • Lead vendor set-up on behalf of new customers 
  • Coordinate new item set up and imaging process 
  • Partner with Sales Manager on account forecasting, inventory flow, and reporting efforts 
  • Pull and analyze monthly sales data communicating insights & trends 
  • Maintain Account Trackers 
  • Ensure promotions are submitted, track inventory for promotion, provide lift analysis recap after promotion
  • Comp shopping and competitive analysis 
  • Coordinate samples requests and delivery 
  • Analyze brand performance and recommend strategies to grow business 
  • Collaborate with Sales Managers on needs of the business unit
  • Analyze brand performance with Sales Managers + Retail Optimization Manager to recommend strategies to grow business 
  • Create individual customer process for Best-in-Class service 
  • Partner with Sales Manager + Retail Optimization Manager to understand field merchandiser findings + feedback 
  • Field all sales related customer service questions & needs 

Supply Chain (30%) 

  • Manage all POs from receival through to delivery 
  • Main point of contact for initial PO inquiries 
  • Step in to assist ops in time of crisis with operational needs of accounts 
  • Communicate any PO issues to internal team and wholesale customers, in partnership with Lead Account Manager 
  • Manage Logistics relationships with Lead Account Manager 
  • Collaborate with Lead Account Manager, Production & Operations teams to ensure appropriate inventory levels to support business need 
  • Build and manage scalable processes to improve cross functional teams as it relates directly to sales needs: Marketing + Operations + Accounting + Sales 
  • Assist with ad hoc projects related to sales team needs 

Marketing (5%) 

  • Attend weekly Sales & Marketing meetings
  • Review needs/projects with marketing team, create timeline, deliverables, and communicate needs to respective teams and team members 
  • Work with Marketing to continue to drive sales at the account level 

Finance (5%) 

  • Assist finance team with initial chargeback or deduction taken 
  • Main point of contact and expert on whom to utilize for chargebacks and deduction questions 


  • Results Driver: leads charge for maximizing business 
  • Value Creator: This person finds ways to increase value delivered to the account that others often don’t. Change is this person’s “forte” 
  • Collaborator: internal team builder – builds bridges and trust 
  • Project Manager: Organizer of process. Gathers necessary resources needed, formulates an actionable plan, tracks actions and outcomes 


  • 3+ Years of Account Management, preferably for a Manufacturer 
  • Enthusiastic, engaging, outgoing and approachable individual with a passion for meeting new people and evangelizing great products 
  • Planning & Management: The ability to organize and manage multiple priorities and workload 
  • Problem analysis and problem resolution at both a strategic and functional level 
  • Sales Development: Ability to create sales strategies and provide input on company strategies 
  • Should enjoy working in a collaborative, fast paced, entrepreneurial, work hard-play hard environment. 
  • Experience in short shelf life, refrigerated products is a plus 
  • Strong computer skills – Word, Excel & PowerPoint essential. G-Suite a plus 
  • Bachelor’s degree. Business Administration, Sales and Marketing, Communication or related fields are a plus. 
  • Consumer Products, some knowledge of nutritional products is plus 
  • Travel Up to 10% on an as-needed basis
